DOZENS of Kingsmead residents raised a smile this morning by getting out on their driveways to dance along to the Village People classic YMCA.
Sharon Power is hoping to get the estate moving at 10am each Saturday and Sunday to raise spirits during the coronavirus pandemic.
The estate is also rallying together to raise cash for NHS charities online here.
She said: "In an attempt to keep everyone connected in our Kingsmead community, we’re going to come out of our houses 10am each Saturday and Sunday whilst in isolation, and do the same dance at the end of our driveways.
"We had 37 take part around the estate this morning and we’re promoting on Facebook to get more involved and raise awareness.
"We’re doing it to help raise funds for the NHS charities, asking people to donate to our fundraising page, not to take part, but to support us in keeping our community together and raising funds for the amazing NHS staff."
