A COUPLE celebrated their diamond wedding chatting to their family across the Atlantic Ocean.
Harold, 83, and Lillian Waller, 82, locked down in their home due to Covid-19, were delighted to talk to all five children on their special day on a video phone link.
The couple, from Winsford, used to own a fish and chip shop in Northwich.
A family celebration had to be cancelled but their five children were determined to mark their milestone anniversary with special wishes.
Daughter Debbie said:"Everyone FaceTimed them. They had a whale of a time talking to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Daughters Jackie and Linda who live in Canada had planned to fly over for a big get together.
"It was sad that we can't party as it all had to be cancelled but they will had a lovely day," said Debbie. My sisters are still planning a trip over here when they are able to."
Debbie and her sister Tracy, who both live in Winsford, visited their parents with a bouquet of flowers. Son David who lives in Chesterfield with his two children joined in the family link up later on.
"We saw them through the window," said mum-of-three Debbie. "My sister bought them a bottle of red wine and we ordered them an Indian takeaway.

"We all FaceTimed them at the same time in the evening. They are so kind and giving, they would do anything for any of us."
The pair met whilst working in the Kellogg's factory in 1959. The company sent the couple a bouquet of red roses to mark their 60th wedding anniversary.
"Mum was a packer and dad worked on the lines delivering product to the women,"said Debbie.
The couple married in Salford in 1960 and settled in Manchester.

Harold, a joiner by trade, and Lillian bought a fish and chip shop in Leftwich, Northwich in 1971 and ran the business until they moved to Winsford five years later.
Lillian worked at Fine Fare and in the kitchen at Wyvern House until she retired.

Keen amateur dramatic enthusiast Lillian joined Vale Royal Musical Theatre in 1985 and still leads a very active life.

"Mum is full of life," said Debbie. "Everyone loves her, she is always happy and smiling. She still helps out behind the scenes with the amateur dramatics and was on the stage until she was 80.
"She helps with Books on Wheels, she sings in a group call The Golden Girls and is she is a member of Trinity Church, the Women's Guild and WI.
Harold plays snooker every Thursday with his mates at the Tin Mission at Wharton Conservative Club and played competitively in mid Cheshire until he was 78.
"They have both discovered a new lease of life at the Men's Shed project," said Debbie. "Mum goes on the women's day."
The couple have 11 grandchildren Georgia, Amelia, Wes, Warwick, Daniel, Matthew, Keeleigh, Jade, Charlie, Oliver and Cameron and four great grandchildren Lewis, Mason, Lyla and Leo.
