RESIDENTS say they are fed up complaining over a lack of public toilets in Winsford.
Cllr Dave Edwards planned to raise the issue at Winsford Town Council on Monday evening but the meeting was postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak
The public toilets at Winsford Cross Shopping Centre closed in early 2016. This followed concern from Cheshire West and Chester Council and the management of the shopping centre that it was no longer safe to use them.
Cllr Edwards has requested an update on the situation.
One woman said: "It's disgusting that we have been left without public toilets for so long. They keep talking about regeneration. This is a basic facility we need now."
Members are being asked to raise the issue with Cheshire West and Chester Council as the Town Council does not have powers with regard to public toilets.
People claim it is putting people off coming into the town centre.

Many elderly and disabled shoppers say they feel very uncomfortable without these facilities and have often found themselves in embarrassing situations.
Residents say it is a vital service that should be available in every town.
The lack of public toilets also deters mums with young children who need baby changing facilities.
