MEMBERS of the Brunner family will be special guests at the next Northwich Rotary speaker meeting on Monday, July 8.
Held in the main hall at Winnington Park Recreation Club, the event features presentations on Sir John Brunner – 100 years on from his death – and the legacy he created.
Sir Hugo Brunner, great-grandson of Sir John, will be present along with other family members.
Steve Wheat, a retired manager of the Winnington Combined Heat and Power Plant works, will make his presentation relating to the beginning of Brunner Mond through to ICI and the present day.
Other speeches will look at the River Festival, Beer, Gin and Wine Festival, and policing in Northwich.
Doors open at 11.45am, with a two-course buffet lunch at 12.30pm and speeches from 1.15pm followed by a Q&A.
The cost to attend is £8.50 to include food, tea and coffee.
If you would like to attend, email northwichrotaryss@gmail.com or contact Emma Bantock, Heather Kearns or Clive Steggel on 01606 48521 before Friday, July 5.
