WEAVER-VALE'S MP has praised the ‘outstanding’ care provided by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust following a Care Quality Commission report.
The report came after an inspection at CWP in 2018. In their report, the national health watchdog found that CWP were, once again, ‘Outstanding’ in the caring category, the highest recognition they can give.
CWP are the only NHS provider in Cheshire to receive an ‘Outstanding’ rating for caring, and the only NHS mental health services provider in the north west to also receive this rating.
Mike Amesbury MP said: “This result is a testimony to the hard work of staff who do an incredible job under ever-increasing pressures.
“I meet frequently with health and care professionals in my constituency and one thing which always shines through in those conversations is their passion and commitment to the NHS and to the people they serve.”
CWP chief executive, Sheena Cumiskey, said: “The award of our ‘outstanding’ rating for caring is fantastic news for our organisation and a wonderful tribute to the hard work and dedication of our staff.”
The trust also provides specialist services across the north west including, mental health and learning disability services, as well as physical community services.
