THE Kinderton Hotel will re-open on Friday under new ownership.
The establishment, in Kinderton Street, closed on Monday night and was due to be sold for development, but a local consortium led by Middlewich businessman Shaun Ellison agreed a last-minute purchase to ensure it was maintained.
Shaun said: “We hope we will have everyone’s support in keeping The Kinderton open, being a Middlewich resident for most of my life it was important for the town not to lose yet another amenity.”
Following the re-opening on Friday, the new owners will take time to consider how best to develop the business further over the forthcoming months.
Friday night will see live entertainment, a street magician, selection of food, cocktails and the first free drink on the house.
Throughout the weekend there will also be a bouncy castle, face painting, BBQ and live World Cup Football with England playing on Sunday.
Shaun added: “We would also like to thank Rosemary & Richard Dutton for all their hard work at the Kinderton over recent years and their help in making this happen.
“It has been an interesting week to say the least but we got there in the end and are very much looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
“In the meantime everyone is welcome to come down, say hello and enjoy the fun over the weekend.”
