SCOUTS from Lostock took top prize in a competition against other boys from across Cheshire.
Tom Cannon and Max Risley, representing the Malarg Explorer Scout Unit, trained hard to win the Mid-Cheshire District Trophy for the Cheshire Hike’s 14 to 16 age group.
During the weekend the boys walked a total of 24 miles on the Saturday and then 12 miles on the Sunday, totalling 36 miles from Tarporley to Knutsford.
As part of the challenge teams collected points along the route for their mapping skills, challenges, camping skills and time-keeping.
Stuart Young, Scout leader, said: “We are immensely proud of these two, who managed to win the District trophy by a margin of three points.
“I would like to say a massive well done to the lads.”
