HAS anyone got any details about the re-routing of HS2 and its affect on the A556?

When I asked at the consultation meeting what was planned I was told there was a plan to put in a new road from the King Street roundabout to Lostock Gralam.

There seemed to be little consideration being given to the knock-on effects to Northwich eg HGV traffic to Tata, the haulier yard or the new recycling / composting site at Lostock.

There was no road plan to be seen, as of yet, other than a throwaway comment that it would be to the Northwich side of the existing A556.

A concerned Northwich resident
