Searching for a school friend
I AM seeking Don (Gabby) Ashworth who was formerly of Winsford.
Like me, he was a pupil at Winsford Verdin Grammar School, his years being probably 1947 – 1952.
He will now be aged about 82.
On the sports field he was a star, and gained his school colours for both football and cricket.
It was on the cricket field that I knew him best as the school’s finest all-rounder.
