FIREFIGHTERS are currently tackling a huge blaze in Winsford next to Wharton Primary School.
Station Road is closed while firefighters tackle the fire which has engulfed a group of outbuildings between houses on Station Road and Wharton Primary.
Spencer Ward, an eye-witness at the scene, said: "The whole garden is on fire, there are loads of cars coming up the road having to turn around.
"It looks like everyone got out safely. There was only one small ambulance and firefighters are extinguishing the flames as we speak.
"It's all happened behind those outbuildings, they back onto the school."
The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, but this comes after firefighters had to tackle five deliberate fires in Wharton last night in the space of three-and-a-half hours.
Last night's fires were in Alt Walk, Bradbury Road, and Dee Way three times.
