NORTHWICH Bollywood dance group, Lalita’s Namastey India, turned heads at the annual Chester Diwali Parade.
Lalita Sivakumar, who runs the group, danced along with her students to the latest Bollywood numbers.
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an important celebration among the Indian community in the UK People wear colourful clothes, burst fire crackers, dance and sway to swinging tunes and distribute sweets among family and friends.
The Northwich dancers were Yvonne McGrorty, Jacquie Bailey, Sarah Batt, Taylor Harrison, Amy Roberts, Mandy King, Mike Clarke, Lesley Lythall, Carol Paton Rolls, Rhona McNally, Francesca Verma, Julie Tinsley, Tracey Lanfranchi, Karen Stillings, Shruti Sivakumar and Smriti Sivakumar.
