LABOUR members in Tatton have chosen David Pinto-Duschinsky, a former adviser to the last Labour Chancellor, to take on George Osborne at the 2015 General Election.
At a packed meeting at Wilmslow’s Royal British Legion Club, David was selected from a field of four candidates.
After the meeting, David said he was looking forward to the battle with Mr Osborne.
“I am honoured to have been chosen to be Labour’s candidate at the next election," he said.
"George Osborne has presided over the longest recession in living memory and the biggest fall in real wages since the 1870’s. Millions have paid the price of his failed policies. And Tatton has not been immune.
"Shops have shut, jobs have gone and local services have been squeezed. I’m looking forward to holding him to account and campaigning on the issues that matter to local people-affordable housing, protecting the local NHS, schools and bringing more good jobs to the constituency.”
In the Northwich area, the villagess covered by the Tatton constiuency are Wincham, Rudheath, Marbury, Pickmere, Comberbach, Lostock Gralam, Lach Dennis and Byley.
