A GROUP of young people from Northwich will be washing cars to raise money to pay for a community project.
The team are currently taking part in a Prince's Trust programme run by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service. They will be washing people's cars for a donation on Friday 10 October at the Weaver Vale Housing Trust premises on Gadbrook Park, Northwich.
Any money raised will go towards painting the snooker hall at Winnington Recreation Club in Winnington.
Hazel Crampton, Northwich Prince's Trust Team project manager said: "This venue was chosen by the team themselves, who will also manage the job from start to finish, and do all the work themselves. This project forms part of a 12 week programme aiming to give young people new skills and experiences to ultimately help them into employment or further education, and ends with the group graduating."
The team will be at Weaver Vale Housing Trust from 10am until 4pm and the more people that bring their cars to be washed, the better.
