A 26-year-old man has been arrested and released on police bail following a serious assault in Nantwich on Saturday, October 4.
The assault is believed to have occurred at approximately 2.40am outside a takeaway in the Swine Market area of Nantwich.
The victim, a 21-year-old man from Whitchurch, suffered serious head injuries and is currently recovering at North Staffordshire Hospital, where his condition is described as stable.
Detective Constable Lyndsey Burton said: “At this point enquiries into the incident are still on-going and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident.”
