AN innovative charitable trust from Winsford supplied the guest speaker for the high-profile Social Enterprise Conference this month.
Andrea Fragata Ladeira, CEO of the Care2Save Charitable Trust, took to the stage at the Glasdir exhibition centre in north Wales on October 1.
Andrea shared her expertise on how charities could compete with private sector businesses.
Care2Save set up just over a year ago to create long-term multi-million pound income streams for good causes.
The service works by donating commission from online shopping sales to good causes.
It has reported significant take-up with UK charities, with a recent success including partnership work with the James Bulger Memorial Trust – established by James’ mother Deinse Fergus to provide holidays and respite to children who have been victims of crime, hatred or bullying.
Debenhams, Boots, House of Fraser, Monarch and BT are among businesses to have signed up.
