POLICE in Winsford are appealing for witnesses to two fires that occurred on the Over estate during the past fortnight.
At 11:40pm on Friday, September 12, a rubbish bin was placed next to the front door of a flat in Pentland Close and then set alight.
Due to the actions of the occupant and a neighbour the damage caused by the fire was restricted to the UPVC door.
Between 8pm on Sunday, September 21 and 3pm on the Monday, September 22, someone pushed a burning cloth through an open living room window at an address in Launceston Close.
Damage was restricted to the carpet and no-one was in the property at the time.
Anyone with information on the fires should call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
