CHESHIRE Constabulary is looking to enlist recruitment lay assessment volunteers to be based at the force headquarters in Winsford.
The new role assists the constabulary in ensuring that the recruitment processes for police officers, staff and volunteers are reviewed from an external perspective.
Temporary chief superintendent, Nick Bailey, explained: “It is imperative for us in human resources to ensure our recruitment processes are as effective as possible and to certify that we enforce positive action competently and effectively.
“We are actively seeking volunteer candidates from underrepresented groups to come in and confirm that our processes are representative of our policies, and that candidates from under representative groups are being mentored and supported efficiently.”
Recruits will not have to go through the full application process, but candidates will be vetted.
Based at Police HQ in Winsford, they will be required to attend seminars, developmental and training sessions and to undertake assessments as and when required.
