THE Wednesday Club met for a very happy afternoon with a talk about sweet memories. Janet Bradshaw bought a large selection if sweets and talk enthusiastically about the variety of sweets from when they were young. She displayed humbugs, gob stoppers, toffees and many others.
There was a rush for the sweets when rationing ended in 1953. Meetings take place on the third Wednesday of the month.
