PUPILS from the Grange School travelled to the Scottish border to take part in a debate on Scottish independence.
The five pupils from the Hartford school made the trip to Gretna Green, where they met their counterparts from The Grange Academy in Kilmarnock.
The lively debate involving the two sets of pupils was filmed by Sky News, and was led by correspondent Afua Hirsch.
“With under-18s voting in the Scottish referendum, the reporters were also keen to find out what the young people thought about having a vote at 16, and whether they would like to see this in future ballots,” said Grange School head of politics, Helene Kerr, who accompanied the pupils.
The idea of the debate came from Sky News, which wanted to sample the feelings of young people on both sides of the border before the vote.
The Grange pupils who took part in this debate were Sam Williams, Seb Kennedy, Luisa Webster, Emily Gregg and Hattie Knutton.
