A WOMAN from Middlewich is determined to raise money for the Cheshire Air Ambulance after the emergency service gave her the chance to say goodbye to her late brother.

Sarah Wrench, 23, from Middlewich, lost her brother, Peter, in March last year, after he was involved in a tragic motorbike accident on Booth Lane.

Former Middlewich Primary School and Middlewich High pupil, Peter, was airlifted to North Staffordshire Hospital after suffering critical head injuries but died the following day.

Sarah is now focused on raising money for the Cheshire Air Ambulance who helped get Peter to hospital in time for the family to say their goodbyes.

Sarah said: “It’s very close to my heart as the air ambulance came to Peter’s aid and took him to North Staffordshire Hospital.

“If it wasn’t for this my family wouldn’t have had 24 hours to sit by his side and say goodbye”.

Sarah is part of the management staff at The Salt Cellar in Middlewich and to help her raise as much as she can to thank the air ambulance service, The Salt Cellar will be hosting a full day of events on Thursday, October 9.

The event starts off with a Step Back in Time Lunch aimed at over 50’s with a special-rate lunch menu, free cup of tea and a chance to hear some music of yesteryear.

A junior quiz in the Fuzzy Eds playbarn will be held at the 4.30pm for all children under 11.

Finally, in the evening at 7.30pm, there is a call to all talented people across Middlewich, Winsford and Northwich in the pub’s very own talent competition Salt Cellars Got Talent.

Sarah added: “The whole team here are excited about the day and are sure the local community will support us.”
