CREWE Flyers head into the new season looking to build on the success of last year.
The club has flourished over the last 12 months and currently boasts around 150 members.
During the last 12 months, more than 60 swimmers competed for the club with 17 swimmers making their debuts .
A busy few months lie ahead, with galas in Stoke, Sheffield, Mansfield, Macclesfield, Warrington and Manchester along with three rounds in the North West swimming league and club championships before Christmas.
The club has also secured funding from Community First Crewe and Crewe town council to enable the club to fund new coaching staff and help increase numbers as it seeks to expand ahead of its move to the new lifestyle centre in just over 12 months.
“The club would like to thank the support from community first and the Crewe town council,” said Dave Mears. “We are keen to see new swimmers of all ages and abilities join the club.”
The last 12 months has seen the club win ‘top club’ at galas in Stoke and Manchester and win promotion to Division One of the Crusader League.
The club hope that the 2014-2015 season will be even better, with a large number of younger swimmers now making great progress.
