WHETHER or not to fill in the subways in Northwich linking with the new Lifestyle Centre is the question.

Surely it wouldn't be worth the money to fill it in since they do at least protect pedestrians from traffic and pollution.

Personally I'd like to see the industrial metalwork sign removed from the entrance and replaced by something more modern and representative of the town - hold a design competition for this maybe?

The Lifestyle Centre will have a cultural aspect to its use and the existing 'any old iron' sign designed by the town council many years ago is less appropriate now.
