WINSFORD’S Elaine Salisbury celebrated after scooping two free tickets to see the acclaimed Mikron Theatre Company perform in Winsford.
The Lulworth Close resident won an Over Allotments Association contest to watch their performance of Troupers at the Winsford Academy Theatre at 7.30pm on Friday, September 26.
‘Troupers: Concerts at the Front’ is based on the little-known exploits of British actress and acting manager, Lena Ashwell – the first person to organise large-scale troop entertainment for front line soldiers in the trenches.
The play forms part of ongoing commemorations in Winsford to mark the centenary of the First World War.
