MEMBERS were breathless by the end of their September meeting. Janet Bradshaw had taken them on a whirlwind tour of the history of Tatton Park.
Janet is a history interpreter at Tatton and blessed with performance talents.
She used a large collection of clothes of each period to dress as the characters she was portraying, speedily changing from one to another as she took the audience through many centuries of Tatton’s history.
It was an enthralling and entertaining evening.
Members also celebrated the range of successes that they had in the various art and craft competitions, particularly the Cheshire Show and Nantwich Show.
Other activities had included a canal boat trip with a meal onboard, theatre visits and a “personal to Warmingham WI” visit to Rode Hall’s gardens on a glorious summer evening.
October 1 is the next monthly meeting when Ray Jackson will introduce his audience to Lower Moss Wood Wildlife Hospital.
The meeting begins at 7.30pm and visitors are welcome at Warmingham Village Hall. Visit warmingham.org.uk.
