THOUGHTFUL Winsford pupils united in support of the Manchester Dogs' Home.
Kids at Darnhall Primary School decided to hold a non-uniform day and collect items for the Harpurhey charity, where 60 dogs perished following an arson attack on Thursday, September 11.
Headteacher, Sarah Tomlinson, said: “I am incredibly proud of the children at Darnhall. Following the horrendous events at Manchester Dogs’ Home last Thursday night the children wanted to show their love and support for the dogs, staff and community of Harpurhey, Manchester.
“The Year six Class organised a non-uniform day today to appeal for donations for the dogs and also organised a cake stall to raise money towards the rebuild.
“The families and other members of the community have shown overwhelming support through the generosity of their donations.”
