A WOMAN suffered minor burns to her arm after a chip fan fire in Haslington.
The chip pan had been left unattended and the woman had fallen asleep, but was woken up by the sound of her smoke alarm.
Fire engines from Crewe and Sandbach were called to the incident in Bradley Hall Road, Haslington at 9.43pm on Tuesday, September 16.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using a hose reel jet.
A large fan was used to clear the smoke and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
