A FORMER Winsford schoolboy is hoping to organise a reunion following a series of old school photographs that have been featured in Remember When.
We have included a number of pictures from Winsford Verdin County Grammar School from the 1940s and 50s, which have prompted a great response from our readers across Northwich, Winsford and Middlewich who have shared their memories with the Guardian.
The last article featured Chris Roberts who grew up in Northwich and went to the school.
He shared photographs from 1946 and 1948, which inspired reader John Eaton to get in touch.
John said: "I am on the photograph brought to your attention by Chris Roberts and I would be interested in organising a get together for ex pupils if anyone was interested.
"I fondly remember so many friends such as, Brian Hewitt, Ken Ingham, Norman Moore, Malcolm Barker, Stephen Carpenter, Peter Buckley and many others."
Anyone interested in a reunion should call him on 01925 757863.
He also sent us a photograph of the school football team in 1947 featuring, back row from left, teacher Mr Rowley and pupils D Ashworth, P Moors, N Moore, J Eaton, R Woodward, M Jones and , front row from left, A Haugh, W Slater, B Hewitt, K Astles and D Forshaw.
