COMMUNITY heroes from across Middlewich are being sought to take part in the first ever 'People's Strictly Come Dancing'.

The team behind the smash BBC show is opening its dance floor to the public for the very first time and looking for inspiring unsung heroes to take part.

The contest is open to anyone who has made a difference in their community, changed lives or gone above-and-beyond the call of duty to help others.

BBC researcher Nicola Morgan said: "We are looking for people to nominate real people who have genuinely changed many other people's lives - and of course, it is essential that they are Strictly super fans.

"The show is going to be a complete surprise to these individuals, so it is very important that they have no idea they are being nominated.

"It should be an amazing chance to reward some amazing people with an unforgettable experience that will be broadcast to the nation at a primetime slot on BBC One."

Strictly Come Dancing is one of the biggest shows at the BBC and regularly attracts between 8-14 million viewers.
