POLICE in Winsford have arrested a group of men in connection with the theft of high-value fishing equipment from a vehicle.
£4,000 worth of tackle was stolen from a car parked in Granville Square, Winsford, on Monday, September 8.
Following investigations by Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Team, officers arrested a 30-year-old man from an address in Siddhorn Street, Winsfordon Friday, September 12.
The man has been charged with handling stolen goods.
Three more offenders have been arrested and bailed while police conduct further investigations.
A spokesman from Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “A large proportion of the property has now been recovered.
“I would like to stress the importance to the community of not buying goods from people who go knocking on doors on the estates.
“The property is likely to have been stolen.”
