CHARITY supporters will be fundraising at a snail’s pace at a funeral home in Northwich.
Staff from The Co-operative Funeralcare in London Road are holding a coffee morning on Friday, September 26, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The fundraiser runs from 10am to midday, and for a £1 donation guests will be able to enjoy coffee and a cake – and a snail racing competition!
“We hope people will come along and see the new branch, meet the staff and join us in raising a mug to Macmillan and raising vital funds for such a worthwhile cause,” said funeral arranger Hazel Foster.
The charity coffee morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, and raised a record £20 million last year through coffee morning held around the UK.
The funeral home at 31 London Road opened in July.
