POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Congleton in which a Crewe man died.
The collision occurred at 8.20pm on Wednesday, September 10.
a Case Agricultural Fork Lift and a black Triumph motorbike collided in Dial Lane, near to a local quarry, just south of Congleton.
The rider of the motorbike, believed to be a man in his 60's and from Crewe, died at the scene. His family have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers.
Formal identification has not yet taken place.
The road remained closed until 1.45am while specialist officers carried out an investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 733 of 10 September.
