LOSTOCK Gralam Primary School will be rocking on Saturday, September 13, to the sounds of a community music festival.
The organisers of Lostock Rocks are promising a great day out for all the family, with the line-up including rock, soul, folk, dance, bands and solo performers.
Gates open at 11.45am, and the show starts at 12.30pm with Dianne Coleman’s Dancercise, followed by Katy Galloway, Nia Pugh and Tim Lee.
The line-up continues with Impulse Dancers and Glee Club, Barnton Silver Band and Natasha Leah Jones, followed by Wagon Wheel and JCB, the final band on stage.
The festival ends at 9pm, and there will be DJ spots throughout the day by host/compere Scott McManus.
“We hope everyone will get behind the festival, and have already sold about 150 tickets,” said Scott.
“There will also be a bouncy castle, food outlets and a bar serving alcohol, and it promises to be a great day.”
The festival is raising money for school musical instruments, and tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for children under 16 and £12 for a family ticket of two adults and two children.
Tickets are available from the school, Scott on 07593 513154 or Colin Tolley on 07943 811840.
Scott has two children at the school, where he runs the discos, and came up with the idea for the festival, which has been six months in the planning.
“It’s a day for all the family, children and adults, and there is something for everyone,” said Scott.
“It is being held outdoors on the school field, and if it’s a success we hope to turn it into an annual event.”
