GUARDIAN readers are asked to help make Georgia Williams’ dreams come true.
Georgia, 15, a student at The Grange Senior School, is in the final 10 of a Key 103 competition to create a girl band.
The radio station will create a four-piece group, with three members chosen by public vote and the final member chosen by judges.
Band members will have singing and dance lessons, a makeover, stylist, photo shoot, media training and interviews on Key103, and will record a single.
Georgia won a place in the final 10 from 100 hopefuls after singing and dance auditions, and was phoned on Monday evening at home with the news.
“She was told live on air, and my husband thought she had fallen down the stairs because of all the screaming,” said Georgia’s mum Kate.
“She wants to be a singer, and I have always thought she has a fantastic voice. It would be great if everyone could vote for her.”
To vote for Georgia visit key103.co.uk and follow the links for Girlband. Voting closes at 10am on Monday, September 15.
