A ROUNDERS game at a Davenham pub raised £1,000 for charity.
The Oddfellows hosted the game on Sunday, July 20, in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.
The cash was raised through a raffle, children making and selling loom bands, customers paying to play in the match, selling Oddfellows rounders T-shirts, a swear box, bar staff donating their tips and a Guess the Monkey’s Name game.
Liza Clansey, from the London Road pub said: “We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who took part in the event and helped in any way – customers for donating some fantastic prices for the raffle, customers and staff participating in the rounder’s game and great turn out from family members to cheer everyone on, Carole Mahon from Phase 1 Hairdressers and Andy Poole from Poole's Joinery, who arranged the game for the second year running, children who made loom bands to sell and Oddfellows bar staff who donated their tips and helped to sell tickets.”
