ZAK Fielding shone on his Crewe Flyers debut during the North West Regional Championships in Manchester.
The youngster was competing against the region’s elite swimmers but in a tough weekend he came home with several personal best swims and reached his first regional final.
“An excellent first regional championships for Zak,” said Flyers’ Dave Mears. “Gaining valuable experience and some encouraging performances.”
Fielding came home with pbs in the 100m free and100 back, but his best performance came in the 100m breast where he reached the final eight to bag a first regional final spot.
