A MOTORBIKE tour through Cheshire has been organised to raise money for a leading cancer charity.
The Ride Out will take place on August 17 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support after J&S Accessories and Chef and Brewer Pubs teamed up with the charity.
Bikers will start with breakfast at The Blue Cap, in Sandiway, before wending their way around a scenic route, stopping off for a barbecue lunch at The Blacksmiths Arms and returning to J&S, in Oakmere, for a raffle and exclusive use of the shop and cafe.
Macmillan volunteer Carl Fisher said: “We wanted to organise something big for Macmillan that would raise lots of money to help people affected by cancer in Cheshire so we came up with the idea of the ride out.
“We got J&S on board as they are the motorcycle experts and they have planned out an excellent route for the riders to enjoy.
“We hope it will be a huge success and it will become an annual fundraiser.”
He added: ““I would like to thank Alex and the team at J&S for their fantastic help and support.
“We have also had great support from Halfords, Enterprise, Roberts Bakery, Co-Signs, Asda Winsford and Brio Leisure.
“They have all been brilliant in donating items to support the event.”
Tickets for the Ride Out are £50, which includes breakfast, lunch and entry into a raffle.
Raffle prizes so far include a Drift Ghost HD Camera, an HJC IS-17 Motorcycle helmet and a meal for four at a Chef and Brewer Pub.
Tickets are available at J&S or by ringing Alex on 01606 810800, extension 1 For more information on Macmillan Cancer Support please visit www.macmillan.org.uk or call the Macmillan Support Line 0808 808 00 00.
