A NIGHT of live music has been planned so that toddlers in Moulton can play out in all weathers.
Dad-of-two David Wakefield has organised the event to help Moulton Pre-school raise £6,000 for an all-weather play area.
David, from David Wakefield Maintenance Services, said: “My kids went there, they’re eight and 15 now, and my wife’s the treasurer so I thought let’s try to do something for them and raise some money.
“I’ve done some work for them, put a new fence up and things like that, and we were discussing one day that there’s really not somewhere they can play all the time that doesn’t get muddy.
“An all weather play area can be used through winter and the summer and it doesn’t need maintenance.
“The pre-school is a charity and needs every bit of help it can get.”
The charity night will take place at Moulton Village Hall, the home of the pre-school, from 7.30pm to 11.30pm on June 14.
It will include live music by the bands Ignition and Infatu8ion, joining together for the first time to create Ignation, as well as an auction, raffle and caricatures by leading UK artist Mickey Toones, which is included in the ticket price.
A number of businesses, including KDE, B&Q, Hartford Hall and Buildbase, have donated prizes for the event.
