ROYAL roles for Davenham Carnival will be chosen on Saturday, March 29.
Categories include the coveted role of carnival queen, for girls aged 11 and above, fairy queen, for girls in Years Five and Six, princess, for Years Three and Four, and rosebud, for Years One and Two.
The carnival committee is also looking for boys to act as crown, sceptre and orb bearers.
The selection event will take place at the Royal British Legion, in Firth Fields, between 1pm and 4pm.
Admission is £1 for adults and free entry for children. The bar will be open during the selection event.
The carnival itself will take place on Saturday June 21, including bands, rides, stalls and a spectacular arena stunt display as well as the usual parade of royalty, retinues and visiting queens.
Davenham Carnival Committee is also looking to recruit new members.
