POEMS about the history of the Memorial Hall brought two generations of Northwich residents together.
The event at Winnington Rec saw children from Witton Church Walk Primary School perform self-penned verses for members of OPEL (Older People Enjoying Life).
Youngsters were inspired to write poetry about the Memorial Hall, after watching films about its history and the range of the entertainment it hosted.
They were also given a helping hand by poet Dominic Berry.
Clr Julia Tickridge, who attended the event, said: “It was wonderful to see the fun and joy that the children from Witton Church Walks Primary brought into the lives of Northwich OPEL members at their lunch event organised by Age UK Cheshire.
“Poet Dominic Berry came up trumps yet again with his poetry performance group of primary school children.”
