SCHNAUFFER Doreen Margaret Doreen Schnauffer 80, of Acton Bridge, passed away peacefully on 3rd October 2024. Former owner of the Rheingold Riverside Inn Acton Bridge, Doreen, oldest child to the late Michael and Mary Larkin, was born in Edinburgh on 4th December 1943. Doreen met the late Manfred Schnauffer in 1963 in Nairn, they married in 1966, moved to Wilmslow in 1970 before moving to the Caribbean in 1973. Doreen and family returned to Scotland in 1978 and then Acton Bridge in 1985. Doreen was a devoted mother to Karen, Dean and Mark and cherished Gran to three grandchildren: Dylan, Sophie and Austin. Doreen was a kind, witty and generous lady who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. The funeral service will take place at Vale Royal Crematorium on Tuesday 5th November at 12.00.
