SALTER Joan Who lived very happily in Oakmere from 1963 to 1997 (with late husband Don and family), has died peacefully in Salisbury aged 94. She was a Councillor, JP and Mayor of Vale Royal in the 1980s and 90s. Her funeral will be held at Salisbury Cathedral on 3rd March.

I knew Joan in Culcheth (at a pottery class) and later when they moved to Oakmere when I met her at the Sandiway shops one day. My children are ten years younger than Timothy and Tiffany, who I recall went to King's School and Queen's School in Chester. I think Tiffany became a solicitor. Fond memories, she was a lovely lady.
