DAVID PIGGOTT The funeral took place on 16th November 2016 at Vale Royal Crematorium after a long illness and he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was born at Anderton and attended Victoria Road School and Rudheath High school. He won a scholarship to Reaseheath Agricultural College, Nantwich where he studied Agriculture. After leaving Reaseheath he worked briefly for Birtwistles Agricultural Contractors of Hartford before starting his own business which he ran for 14 years. As a result of The Foot and Mouth epidemic the business ceased. He then went to work for Strata Surveys Middlewich spending time abroad and becoming resident in Gibraltar for a short time. He then started the business of AP Strata Drilling with his business partner which they ran for a number of years before retiring in his mid-fifties. David enjoyed many leisure activities and was a member of the Hartford Sub-Aqua Club. He also enjoyed water skiing and sailing and spent many happy weekends in Wales and Anglesey .
