PAUL Brayson and Stuart Elliott have signed for York City.
The former Vics duo tied up their transfer to KitKat Crescent at lunchtime today, Monday, despite new Northwich boss Neil Redfearn saying he wanted them to stay.
"We would like to have had them here," he told the Guardian.
"But this was a situation that was already advanced before I took over."
Brayson, 29, joins fellow frontline newboys Onome Sodje and Chris Beardsley at York as the Minstermen bolster a part of their squad weakened by Clayton Donaldson's departure to Hibernian.
York manager Billy McEwan told York Press on Thursday that Brayson and Elliott would feature in his side's Blue Square Premier promotion push.
