PAUL Brayson will sign for York City, according to the Non-League Paper.
Vics' top scorer will be joined by Stuart Elliott at KitKat Crescent despite Mike Connett's last-ditch attempt to dissuade the pair from leaving the Victoria Stadium.
"I've agreed a one-year deal," said Brayson.
"It's a great move for me as York have a good set-up with big support and should be pushing for promotion."
There is no official word from York, yet.
The 29-year-old striker, who netted 18 goals for Northwich last term, should be unveiled when he returns from holiday at the start of July.
Brayson and Elliott met Connett last week to discuss their future after they were left off the retained list for next season.
"I told them I wanted them here," Connett told Vics fans at a meeting of the official supporters' club.
His efforts appear to be in vain.
