Man in court in connection with Weaverham assault

AN 18-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with an attack on a man that left him partially paralysed.

Matthew Amphlett, of Northwich Road, Weaverham, appeared at Vale Royal Maagistrates Court today, Thursday.

He has been charged with causing grevious bodily harm to Paul Taylor, 33, on May 10.

He will appear at Chester Crown Court on July 15 for a plea and directions hearing.
