EVEN more women will have a chance to join Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life after capacity at Delamere Forest was increased due to popular demand.

A total of 300 extra places have been added to the event on Sunday, July 13, after the previous 1,500 places were snapped-up in record time.

The event is such an inspiring and emotional day where women of all ages and abilities come together to make a real difference

Annette Quarry, Delamere Forest race organiser

Annette Quarry, Delamere Forest race organiser, said: “I’m absolutely delighted by the terrific response of local women to our invitation to join us.

“The event is such an inspiring and emotional day where women of all ages and abilities come together to make a real difference.”

Race for Life is the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event, where mums, daughters, sisters and friends of all ages come together and walk, jog, or run 5k to raise money to help find better ways of treating, diagnosing and preventing cancer.

The event at Delamere is expected to raise more than £114,000 in sponsorship which will help support Cancer Research UK.
