POLICE have been called to the scene of a fire near Jodrell Bank.
A pick-up truck has caught fire on Bomish Lane this afternoon (June 3), leaking oil across the road.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent one engine, from the Knutsford station, to the scene shortly before 2.30pm.
"A pick-up truck was heavily involved in fire," said a CFRS spokesperson.
"Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the flames and specialist matting to soak up oil that had leaked onto the road.
"Police were in attendance to manage traffic."
