THERE are long delays on the M6 this evening, Tuesday, after the road was completely closed.
A HGV fire has closed the road southbound at junction 18 for Middlewich.
Queues are back to junction 20 for Lymm,
Three fire crews are in place after the fire at 7.30pm.
Drivers are being warned to avoid the area.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: "Firefighters are currently tackling a fire involving a HGV trailer which was well-alight on arrival.
"Crews are using hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
"A full closure has been put in place on the Southbound carriageway."
