THE body of a 36-year-old man has been discovered inside a boat in Rudheath.
Emergency services were called to a boat at Park Farm Marina, Davenham Road, shortly before 6pm on Saturday, December 30, following a call from a member of the public regarding concerns for safety.
Once inside, firefighters discovered the body of a 36-year-old man, who has not yet been named.
A police spokesman confirmed the man was from the Northwich area and said there are no suspicious circumstances around the death.
The spokesman said: “Emergency services were called at 5.52pm on December 30 to a boat on Davenham Road, Northwich, following a call regarding concerns for safety.
“Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service carried out a search of the boat whilst wearing breathing apparatus and found the body of a man inside.
“Next of kin have been informed.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The police, fire and ambulance services all attended the incident.
