A RECORD number of pensioners enjoyed a meal and entertainment at an annual party in Winnington.
Around 100 people attended the event at Winnington Park Recreational Club organised by the Rotary Club of Northwich Vale Royal.
They tucked into a roast chicken lunch and dessert prepared and cooked by Mid Cheshire Catering and enjoyed a concert by Bostock Singers.
Peter Hall, from the Rotary Club community committee, said: "It has once again proved to be a huge success and everything went like clockwork and with a record number of attendees.
"It takes a lot of organising to get the pensioners to the event and home again.
"There are so many people we have to thank for their support but we must mention Cransley School, The Petty Pool Trust, J&M Limousines for their help with providing transport free of charge, Louise and her staff for a superb meal, fellow Rotarians and their wives for their help with transport and serving the meals.
"A special mention and thanks go to councillors Val Armstrong and Don Hammond who provided welcome financial support towards the cost of the party."
